Smaller Government Structure

The proposed City Government would comprise a Mayor and (4) Councilpersons / Commissioners. After the initial implementation phase, those would be elected positions. These would be non-partisan and voted at large positions. The structure of the City Government would ensure that all geographical areas within the proposed boundaries would be represented. It would also include individuals with specific disciplines and backgrounds, including Planning and Zoning, Finance, Business, Public Works, Diversity Management, and Legal. These would be minimal salary positions (if any) with the intent to cover expenses only, remembering these are homeowners and residents within our community.

In addition to those, the fundamental full-time salaried positions would include:

• City Clerk
• CPA, Admin
• Police Chief and Officers
• Code Enforcement
• Public Works Director / Staff
• Policy / Procedures HR Director

Additionally, the City would have a City Attorney on Retainer to support our Legal needs and provide Legal Counsel and representation, which our area and residents have been lacking.
