Local Law Enforcement

Current Situation

Currently, we reside primarily under LMPD Division 8. Division 8 is under resourced, over committed and covers a very large geographical area. Following incorporation, they will continue to provide service to the proposed area, however will work in tandem with our local law enforcement.

Additionally, as the dwelling count continues to increase, and the crime, a need exists for additional visibility of law enforcement in the area.

The Goal

The goal would be to provide high visibility of law enforcement throughout Eastwood, through patrolling and reduced response times for emergencies. The expected expense is roughly $1.8M annually. For reference, Middletown spends $2.4M annually, and Prospect spends $1.3M annually (2022)
